Terms
Last updated 16 October 2026.
These terms apply to everyone who signs up for or uses the internet service provided by ELL Fibernet ("ELL Fibernet", "we", "us"). By signing up, paying for, or using the service, you ("the customer") agree to these terms.
Our service
ELL Fibernet provides fibre broadband internet connections in Bhatkal taluk, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka. A connection can only be provided where our network reaches; we will confirm availability at your address before installation.
- Who can sign up: individuals aged 18 or older, and businesses.
- KYC: as required by Government of India telecom rules, you must provide valid photo identity and address proof before your connection is activated. We may refuse or disconnect service if the details given are false or incomplete.
- Home and business plans: home plans are for personal, residential use at the registered address. Business, shop or office use needs a business plan.
- One premises only: the connection is for use at the registered address. You may not resell it or share it with other houses, shops or premises.
Plans, billing and payment
All plans are prepaid and billed monthly. Each month's bill is due on the 1st of that month, and must be paid by the 15th.
- Due date: the bill for a month is due on the 1st of that month.
- Grace period: you have until the 15th of the month to pay. Service continues normally during this period.
- Unpaid bills: if the bill is not paid by the end of the 15th, service is paused until the full amount due is received. Service is restored after payment is confirmed.
- GST: plan prices do not include GST. GST at the rate set by the Government of India (currently 18%) is added to every bill.
- Plan prices: current plans and prices are listed on our website or are available from our support team.
- Cancellation and refunds: to cancel, contact us using the details below. Refunds of any amount already paid for the current month are decided case by case and are not automatic.
Installation and equipment
The installation charge depends on the plan you choose and the distance from our network to your premises. We will tell you the exact amount before installation begins.
- Router and ONT: the customer buys the router and ONT, and owns them once paid for. Any warranty is the manufacturer's, where one applies.
- Care of equipment: you are responsible for keeping your equipment safe, powered and in working order at your premises.
- Fibre cable: the fibre cable and network equipment outside your premises remain the property of ELL Fibernet.
- Access: you agree to give our technicians reasonable access to your premises for installation, repair and maintenance.
- Damage: if a fault is caused by damage at your premises, such as a cut or bent fibre cable, we may charge for the repair.
Fair and acceptable use
Home plans give unlimited data with no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for normal personal and household use. If a home connection is used for commercial purposes, such as running a shop, office, cyber cafe or other business, a Fair Usage Policy applies. ELL Fibernet may, at its discretion, reduce the connection speed or move the connection to a suitable business plan.
You may not use the connection to:
- Break any Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000
- Access, store or share unlawful, obscene or abusive content
- Hack, attack or gain unauthorised access to any system or network
- Send spam or spread viruses or other harmful software
- Share copyrighted material without permission
- Resell the connection or share it with other premises
- Interfere with our network or with other customers' service
You are responsible for all activity on your connection, so keep your Wi-Fi password secure. We may suspend or disconnect a connection that breaks these rules, and we will cooperate with government and law enforcement authorities as the law requires.
Service availability
We work to keep your connection running at all times, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Plan speeds are "up to" speeds; actual speed can depend on your devices, Wi-Fi coverage and the websites you use.
- Planned maintenance: we will tell you in advance on WhatsApp and with a notice on our website. Where possible, we schedule work at times of low usage.
- Unplanned outages: we will post updates on WhatsApp and our website as soon as we can, and work to restore service quickly.
- Events beyond our control: we are not responsible for interruptions caused by power cuts, storms and heavy rain, cable damage by third parties, failures of upstream providers, or government orders.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. We will tell you about important changes, including changes to plan prices, on WhatsApp and on our website before they take effect. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your connection by contacting us.
